Who we are
Kuipers & van Kempen is based on the professional cooperation of Willem Kuipers and Annelien van Kempen in career counseling and development of identity for gifted adults. Willem and Annelien share their house with their daughter Georgina.
She was the first of the three to uncover the issue of giftedness and the implications for her own life, around 1999 at primary school.
Annelien and Willem followed to their own surprise.
From that time, they have been working on the development and application of tools and methods to help gifted adults in entering a new phase in their professional and personal development.
In the process, they entered a new phase too.
Annelien graduated in Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam, was a business lawyer in the glass industry, created a studio for artists to make their hand blown glass, and is now working with gifted adults. Additionally she is a glass artist herself. Pictures of her work can be found at her own website.
Willem graduated at Delft University of Technology as a Mathematical Engineer, changed to become a Management Consultant, and feels finally at ease as a counselor for development of identity. Additionally he designs and builds labyrinths, meditative paths based on ancient patterns. Pictures and articles on his work can be found at his website.
