Welcome to the English version of our Dutch website!
We aim to offer you insight and tools to discover more about our concept of 'eXtra intelligence' or 'Xi' and to find out whether and how it applies to you or to people that you know.
We coined the concept 'eXtra intelligence' or 'Xi' in 2001, to deal with that emotional barrier adults experience when they are considering their own or another’s giftedness: Since general belief assumes that gifted adults should be successful, this means that any degree of unsuccessfulness implies doubts about any actual giftedness.
Even worse is the supposition that the adult in question has undertaken insufficient effort to bring the giftedness to its full expression, neglecting the implicit duty to society or a still higher authority.
The first question is of course: "when is your intelligence typically 'extra'?" Read on at 'who is Xi?'
We give an impression of our counselling work on the webpage 'The heart of our services', and introduce ourselves on 'Kuipers & van Kempen'.

'Xidentity', is about nine characteristic facets of extra intelligence and giftedness.
The expression of excellence is in our view a process of various steps that can be compared to the walking of a labyrinth.
'Extra sources' refers to our new book 'Enjoying the Gift of being Uncommon', including contents and excerpts, to our article 'How to charm Gifted Adults into Admitting Giftedness' in Advanced Development, the Journal on Adult Giftedness, to our Reader, and to books, articles and websites that have inspired us and still do. Our Reader is as yet only available in Dutch.
The sitemap gives an overview of the site and offers direct navigation.
The page New offers information on recent changes of the website.
This website is still under construction. The translation of various pages will go on as time and energy is available.
When in a touristic mood, read on at the very extensive Dutch version. Enjoy!
